Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist, and competing with the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC Fighter and Former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her journey into combat sports as a Muay Thai boxer. Shevchenko made her debut in her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded another medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, and a gold in the year 2011, and then was named in the position of IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final bout took place at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The fight was won by a unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She took the title by TKO at the end of round 2 and went on to win her two fights following, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko was forced to take a break in order to pursue kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko won against Anissa through a unanimous decision, before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she left the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability at the end of the fight through knees to the body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC during her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she lost her second fight to Roxanne Modafferi via the split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
